Whisky
What the title says. Different whisky that I've tried and love (or hate). I almost always have them on the rocks and let the ice melt a little bit, so depends on your taste. I guess I'll include things like rye rum here as well... it's close enough.
Decent
Nikka Yoichi Price: $140 from Dan Murphy's A single malt Japanese whisky. Picked it up for $89 in Stanthorpe ages ago—I don't think they knew what they were doing. Was pretty happy with this one.
Woodford Reserve Price: $90 from Dan Murphy's, often on special for $55 Make sure you pick up the rye whisky and not the awful bourbon. Punching above its weight for price.
Jura Supersition Price: $100 from Dan Murphy's I haven't had the opportunity to down a full bottle of this, but loved it while sampling at a gorgeous bar in Christchurch.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte: Peat Project Price $115 from Dan Murphy's The Peat Project. Respect the name, it's peaty as fuck but oh so delicous. This is their second iteration of the peat monster.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte: Barley Price: $100 from Dan Murphy's It's a decent drink, what more can I say?
